The objective of the Association is the safeguarding, protection, restoration and development of biological diversity, including fauna and flora and their habitats, in the interests of sustainable development in the Association's nature reserves.
Particularly listed objectives:
- Preservation of the natural heritage in harmony with the cultural, scientific and historical heritage and landscape,
- Promoting cooperation with groups pursuing similar objectives.
Another objective of the Association is adult education, aimed at critical analysis of society, stimulation of democratic and social initiatives, development of active citizenship and exercise of social, cultural, environmental and economic rights, with the aim of promoting individual and community emancipation of citizens through active participation and cultural activism of the target audience. The Association aims to work specifically with adults to promote and develop:
(a) awareness raising and critical knowledge of social interrelationships
b) Analysis, choice, action and evaluation skills,
c) responsibility and active participation in social, cultural, economic and political life.
The Association pursues these objectives primarily in the German-speaking Community. However, it is also authorised to take part in any action corresponding to its objectives, regardless of borders, country or continent.
