News Career advancement of GTI alumnus Dr Kanvaly DOSSO, from Université Nangui Abrogoua in Ivory Coast

We are very proud to announce that one of our GTI alumni, Dr Kanvaly DOSSO, has been recently promoted 'Maître Assistant' by the 'African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education' (CAMES).

The African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES) is an intergovernmental institution for integrating higher education systems. It is made up of 19 countries in addition to a dozen inter-state higher education and research institutions. It was set up in 1968 to standardize the way emerging African universities were run.

The goals of CAMES are:

  • To establish permanent scientific and cultural cooperation between its members
  • To draw up agreements between the member countries on higher education and research, and to contribute to their implementation
  • To monitor the coordination of higher education systems as well as the standardization of programmes and recruitment levels in higher education and research institutions
  • To guarantee that scientific informationwas gathered and disseminatedto establishments.

During its 37th session held from 13 to 22 July 2015 at Libreville, Gabon, the Comité Consultatif InterAfricain (CCI) from the CAMES has unanimously decided to promote Dr Kanvaly DOSSO from the Université Nangui Abrogoua in Ivory Coast as 'Maitre Assistant'.
